Building a Stronger
Community, Together
Community Bridge is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering partnerships and providing essential resources for families and individuals in West Virginia.
We believe that by coming together, we can make a lasting difference. Through our programs, we provide a network of support, offering everything from basic needs and recovery support to life skills education.
Our Mission: Building Bridges, Not Walls
Community Bridge’s mission is to build strong partnerships among churches, businesses, hospitals, schools, nonprofits, foster networks, and the sober living community to meet basic needs and provide life skills education for low-income households, individuals experiencing homelessness, foster families, and those affected by substance use disorders in West Virginia—strengthening mental and physical health while demonstrating the love of Jesus in action.
Our Story
Community Bridge was founded on a simple belief: that a strong community is built on a foundation of support, compassion, and partnership. What started as a small group of volunteers has grown into a vital organization providing essential resources and programs to those in need. We believe that by working together, we can break down barriers and help people rise to their full potential.
Our Mission
To empower individuals and families in West Virginia by providing essential resources, skills, and community support. We are committed to fostering a culture of hope and dignity for everyone we serve.

Family Resource Center
Offering essential items and a compassionate community for families in need. Our center provides clothing, household goods, furniture, and hygiene products. Our Resource Center is open Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 10:00 to 3:00 for families to connect with our team and learn about other available services.
Bridge Food Pantry
Bridge Food Pantry is a USDA-supported food pantry dedicated to ensuring no one in our community goes hungry. We provide food assistance to anyone in need — because everyone deserves access to nourishment and hope..
Healthy Families
Healthy Families offers a six-module cooking class designed to help families prepare healthy, affordable meals at home. The program focuses on practical kitchen skills, meal planning, shopping wisely on SNAP benefits, budgeting, and making the most of items commonly found in a food pantry. In addition to cooking classes, Healthy Families periodically provides Finance and Sewing classes to further equip participants with valuable life skills that strengthen households and promote self-sufficiency.
Stepping Into Freedom
Stepping Into Freedom gets back to the origins of all the twelve-step programs by focusing on the biblical foundation on which they were derived. Using “The Twelve Steps of Wholeness,” group members come together to develop roots in Christ so they can confidently master any life-controlling problem they encounter.
Prodigals Homecoming
Prodigals Homecoming is a periodic gathering created to support individuals in active recovery through community, encouragement, and hope. Guests are invited to visit our Resource Center, enjoy a shared dinner, and take part in a meaningful service focused on healing and restoration.
Self Care Fair
Self Care Fair is our monthly outreach to local assisted living facilities. Each month, we take our mobile resource center on the road, set up in a facility’s common area, and invite residents to shop and connect. Through this special time together, we bless seniors with clothing, hygiene items, cleaning supplies, and other essentials — sharing practical support, encouragement, and compassion along the way.
Love Letters
Love Letters is a heartfelt ministry reminding children in foster care that they are seen, valued, and deeply loved. Through simple gestures, encouraging notes, comforting scripture, small tokens, and prayer, we send sparks of hope into difficult seasons, each one whispering the same truth: You matter. You are loved. You are not forgotten.
Bless You Day
Twice a year, we host Bless You Day. On this day we give away thousands of items including clothing, furniture, household items, and much more. Everything is free and open to the community. Additionally, resource organizations are present with information on how families can receive additional assistance needed. Our next Bless You Day will be held April 18, 2026.
