Community Bridge, in partnership with West Virginia State University Extension Service, is proud to offer Healthy Families classes designed to strengthen households and build healthier communities. Through this collaboration, we provide practical education, supportive resources, and engaging programs that empower individuals and families to make informed choices, develop positive habits, and thrive together.

Earn $50 in Community Bridge Bucks for each healthy cooking module you complete! You can earn up to $300 to redeem in our exclusive store for items like kayaks, remote-controlled cars, household essentials, and more.
Complete all modules and you'll be eligible to attend our special holiday cooking, gift giving, and slow cooker classes!
Free Class Modules
Module 1: Salads
Covers food groups, comparison shopping, and cost-effective choices. Learn handwashing, knife safety, recipe reading, and salad building.
Module 4: Snacks
Explore nutritionally dense foods and seasonal shopping. Learn basic cooking techniques, appliance safety, and cross-contamination prevention while making healthy snacks.
Module 2: Sides
Teaches portion control, pantry stocking, and proper cooking temperatures. Learn knife skills, fire prevention, and how to create healthy, delicious side dishes.
Module 5: Desserts
Teaches healthy cooking techniques while limiting processed foods and minimizing waste. Learn about expiration dates, fire safety, and how to prepare nutritious, delicious desserts.
Module 3: Proteins
Covers reading nutrition labels, cutting grocery costs, and proper measuring. Learn food storage, cleaning techniques, and how to cook proteins safely and deliciously.
Module 6: Leftovers
Teaches how to turn leftovers into balanced, flavorful meals while saving money. Learn menu rotation, composting, thawing methods, and cookware safety for healthy, creative cooking.
